January Artist of the Month - Ivan Brunetti

January Artist of the Month

So lately I've been introduces to comic books. Not that I didn't know they existed, but I had placed them quite low on the priority list of acquiring a taste for them. In any case, I think it probably should have been the first place I started. In general, you might say that most artists begin to harness their talents as elementary/high school students, drawing in the back of note books or on the corners of quizzes. These are never usually realistic masterpieces, but more so a way to draw out cooped up emotions grudges, or mental revenge plans. I think that's what makes comics so appealing.

Ivan Brunetti takes the humans and strips them down to their raw inner core. Throwing caution to the wind, Brunneti's work is not for the easily offended or faint of heart. If you crack a smirk while viewing one of his drawings, then this America cartoonist has managed to spark your inner sadist.

Check out his work for yourself.
